Semaphore Trademark Guidelines
These guidelines explain how the Semaphore name, logo, and brand assets may be used. They are intended for customers, partners, media organizations, agencies, integration providers, and other third parties.
Our trademarks
The Semaphore name and logo are trademarks of Semaphore Technologies doo.
The composite Semaphore logo shown on this page is registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office under U.S. Registration No. 8,426,416. The registration was issued on September 1, 2026.
The registration covers specified continuous integration and continuous delivery software and software as a service in International Classes 9 and 42.
You can view the registration in the USPTO trademark database.
Required attribution
When trademark attribution is appropriate, use the following notice:
“The Semaphore name and logo are trademarks of Semaphore Technologies doo. The composite Semaphore logo is registered in the United States.”
Do not change the ownership statement or identify another company as the owner of the Semaphore trademarks.
Referring to Semaphore
You may use the Semaphore name in plain text when accurately referring to Semaphore, the Semaphore CI/CD platform, or compatibility with Semaphore.
Your use must not imply that Semaphore Technologies doo sponsors, endorses, or developed your company, product, service, integration, event, or content unless a written agreement says otherwise.

Statements such as “official,” “certified,” “approved,” or “endorsed” may only be used with written authorization from Semaphore Technologies doo. Use only the official logo files provided on this page. Do not recreate, trace, or modify the Semaphore logo.
Permission to use the Semaphore name does not automatically include permission to use the Semaphore logo. Unless an existing agreement permits the use, request written approval before using the logo in marketing, advertising, merchandise, event branding, or product interfaces.
- Preserve the logo’s original proportions.
- Use an approved light or dark version.
- Maintain adequate clear space around the logo.
- Keep the logo legible against its background.
- Do not crop, rotate, stretch, animate, or distort it.
- Do not change its colors.
- Do not add shadows, gradients, outlines, or other effects.
- Do not combine the logo with another company’s logo to create a new mark.
- Do not place ® beside only part of the registered composite logo.
- Do not use the logo in a way that suggests endorsement or partnership without authorization.

Downloading these files does not grant permission to use the Semaphore trademarks in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, certification, or affiliation.
Partners and integrations
Partners and integration providers should describe compatibility using factual language. Place your own company or product name first and use Semaphore only to identify the platform with which your product works.
Do not incorporate Semaphore, the Semaphore logo, or a confusingly similar term into your company name, product name, service name, application icon, domain name, social media handle, or advertising keyword without written authorization.

Media and editorial use
Journalists, analysts, publishers, conference organizers, and educators may use the Semaphore name to identify the company or platform accurately.
Use the current company description and approved assets from the Semaphore press kit. Do not alter the logo, imply endorsement, or use outdated company ownership and contact information.
For screenshots, captions, videos, reports, and presentations, include the approved trademark attribution notice where practical.
Third party trademarks
GitHub, GitLab, CircleCI, Docker, and other third party names, logos, products, and services mentioned by Semaphore are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. Their inclusion does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation unless explicitly stated.
Permissions and infringement reports
To request permission to use a Semaphore trademark or report possible misuse, contact: marketing@semaphore.io
Permission requests should include your organization, the asset you want to use, where it will appear, the intended audience, the publication date, and a visual example or draft.
Infringement reports should include the relevant URL, screenshots, the date observed, and a short explanation of the possible misuse.
These guidelines do not grant a trademark license or waive any rights belonging to Semaphore Technologies doo. Semaphore Technologies doo may update these guidelines or withdraw permission for uses that create confusion, imply unauthorized endorsement, or harm the Semaphore brand.
